Our kids top things in London

Connor top 3:- Legoland; Natural History Museum and Big Ben.

He also liked changing of the Guards, Big Bus Tour, Tower Bridge, Hamley's and getting money for finding Monopoly spots - so pretty much everything!  He also loved the buffet breakfasts he got to eat everyday at our hotel - hash-browns were the best. Connor got some books which he is excited about - he is avenger mad currently and so got a few books about this group of superheros.

Lachlan's top 3:- Imperial War Museum, Changing of the Guards at Buckingham Palace and Legoland,

He also enjoyed the Natural History Museum, Science Museum, Tower Bridge and  Hamley's.  Loks also managed to find two new book series: The hunger games by Suzanne Collins and the Bodyguard by Chris Bradford - so he now has 7 new books to sink his teeth into...............three have already been read so he is now re-reading them before he gets the next ones.  We also brought guide books for the imperial war and natural history museums and some other such books which he is looking forward to reading.

Both are very keen to go back to London.  Lachlan has also had his interest in the history of the world wars increased and can't wait to go to Normandy in Northern France to see and explore the D-day beaches.  His goal for the next week is to research the D-Day beaches and put together some information to help Connor enjoy the experience of exploring this area and help plan our 2-3 day trip there is a couple of weeks.

  2. What an exciting time you have had in London, I bet Nana's ear is getting chewed off with all you have discovered over the last couple of months! I can't wait to hear all about the books you are reading. Connor - if you could be any superhero (or a brand new one) what would you be and why? Lokie - what superhero does the world need the most? You two could discuss your ideas and get back to me. Lokie, If Hunger Games was set in another time that you have explored (Medieval, Tudor, Renaissance etc) I wonder how the challenges and equipment would make the plot different?
