Day 7 - exploring Windsor and time to head back to Marseille

We had a great night at our hotel - and in the morning we were watching the news when it said there had been a fire at a London underground station and there were no trains in and out of Waterloo Station and major disruptions. Bugger! We were wanting to catch our train from Windsor back to Waterloo! Anyway, thought we would head to the train station and get the goss and have a wee look around Windsor.  The boys saw some grass by Windsor Castle and the game of tag began - it was only a few minutes later that I saw a sign up the lawn further - oops - it said stay off the grass!
Windsor is such a cute little town...............

And of course, Windsor Castle features strongly and is certainly centre stage!

There was quite a big police presence and we wondered why - after asking the police what was going on he said the Changing of the Guard was taking place and the march was expected to go past any minute - yay - so the boys sat down to wait!

Very cool and quick and it was then off to catch the train from a different Windsor Station to Paddington Station in London.  Yay - and then the underground to Victoria to catch the Gatwick Express to London - sorted.

Marseille here we come - the boys are looking forward to getting home and getting back to their croissants and baguettes and of course we have my mum arriving on Monday and will see Dean and Emma in Barcelona on Thursday - wahoo - exciting times ahead.
