Casis - a wee morning trip for Karl, Dean, Emma and mum

While me and the wee boys stayed home that others went road tripping before the car had to be back this afternoon.  We had planned to go on a boat trip to the Calanques this afternoon but the wind was up and it was not looking like it would be a pleasant experience.  We decided to flag this and spend some time chilling and getting ready for our trip to Paris tomorrow.

Road tripping - written by Karl
We drove round the waterfront on the famous 83 route (famous because we had seen it on our new movie) and where there are the nice sandy beaches of Marseille and some cool parks and green space.  We will no doubt spend lots of time here over the summer.  We then headed over to Cassis - a little fishing village which is now very popular! There are amazing views from the road over the hill of the whole area - a must see.  Cassis town was crazy busy and so Dean and Emma were dropped off for a wee explore while me and Bub waited.  We found a boulangerie for some food which just happened to be by a wine store and so some purchases of Rose needed to be made as the plan was to have a yummy cheese board tonight for dinner enjoying our purchases from Les Baux.

It was then time to drop the car off and train home for some down time this afternoon.  THE END

Dean and Karl relaxed a little and then headed out to “check the drains” or hit the bars!!!!!

The vineyards abound with Rose being the main wine of the region

It was then time for a delish cheese board (cheeses brought from Les Baux) and some wine from Cassis - perfect!
