Montpellier zoo

Today we had great fun riding the trams and finding our way to the zoo.  We hopped on one tram and went to the end of the line and checked out the aquariam and area we want to go to and then went in the other direction toward where Karl goes to work; and the zoo.  Thought we would walk from the tram to the zoo as it looked about 20 minutes, but got a bit lost and so caught the bus! This ended up being a good decision as it would have taken us more than 30 minutes to walk and mainly uphill.  As it was we walked over 10km today - the zoo was cool but you did not get a map - there were lots of maps around the park - but it meant we doubled back a bit - especially to see the lions and bears.  Lots of similar things to our zoo but some different - just took a few photos of things that stood out :-

Amazing red - there were about 20 of them - very impressive

Concon on the wooden rhino - rhinos were being lazy and sitting down so no action there....................
Giraffes - my favourite

Lions - as always are so impressive
The beers were really cool - there were three of them and their enclosure was full of action - they were walking and interacting the whole time - very cool!

After spending a good few hours at the zoo we headed back to town and were very hungry - as it was spitting we thought we had better pop into a cafe to see what the weather did - yay - crepes all around - delish and so French!

Check out ole missing teeth in the next shot - lost his second front top tooth - got 5 euros (stoked) and now toothless!!!!!! Tooth money gone already on that green lion pick up toy from the zoo - it never lasts long!
Great day - now home to get dinner ready before the worker arrives home and finds nothing!!!!!

Cheese board and wine to start I think -
