Olympique de Marseille vs Stade de Reims in Marseille

Football in Marseille - we were super excited.  The game did not start until 9pm - although I got my times mucked up a little and thought it started at 8 - so we were well and truly early for the game! Opps...........

Anyway - Olympique de Marseille, Marseille's only team is not doing so well this season and apparently support wanes significantly during these times..............therefore the stadium was not a sell out, in fact there were many more people and much more atmosphere during the Toulon rugby game! This was quite a surprise.

Anyway, we had a great time, Marseille won 1-0 although should have won by more as they missed lots of their chances!

Karl went to buy a beer - quite excited to see Heineken on tap - was not happy to find out that all beer sold at the football was "zero alcohol" beer - WHAT! Anyway decided not to have a beer - probably first live night game watched without a bevvy! Kids got a hotdog though so they were happy!
