This view is amazing, however the view from the village is spectacular. A panorama across fields and forests and other small perched villages awaits. We strolled in the tiny cobbled streets, ate our baguettes and I got to very briefly look at the shops in the charming small stores selling regional products.
This picture does not do the town justice - it is amazingly beautiful from the road..........those interested should google it to see it in its full beauty! |
Lunch time - baguettes for Karl and I; pizza for Loki and quiche for Connor - delish! |

Love looking down alleyways to amazement - so old, so beautiful and so different! |

More views - could not get enough - sitting sipping wine and taking it all in - superb! |
Quite a bit of walking up and down exploring on pathways made some time ago! You never know what is going to be around the next corner............. |
Going up and then going down............. |
We wonder what is down here and around the corner - off we go exploring............. |
Karl checking in the windows to see if anyone is home................. |
The castle tower ....................better know as the Castel: it existed in the 11th century....... |
A little bit of shopping is always good...................... |
The narrow streets we walk and drive off - easier to negotiate a walking path! |
Tunnels - and walkways........................................ |
In the Stain Firmin Church- built in the 18th century and on the site of a small Roman church that had been destroyed. The belltower on this church is from the original Roman church. |
