A day trip to Cassis

The bus ride to Cassis is amazing - up and over a huge hill with amazing views.  We caught the 11am bus and thankfully left home at 10am to catch the metro and give ourselves time to find the right bus stop which was just down from an intersection which has about 6 streets off it and we did not know which street - after asking two people for directions, we finally found it - yay - and boarded the bus! Great start and great bus ride.  We headed straight to the information centre to double check that we catch the bus home from where we hopped off - this confirmed we headed to explore.  The boys spotted the tourist train and we were off -

These really are a great way to explore a town when you only have a day and in this case with Cassis being so hilly, it was perfect! We headed out to one of the callanques for a photo opportunity.  Need to come back here and walk out to one of the callanques.
The boys hanging out on the rocks which are often filled with sunbathers........................................often nudies!

The gorgeous waters of the med! Looks so inviting and the boys were keen to head to the beach for a dip........................
Heading to the beach and stopping for photo opportunities.

 Such a gorgeous place -
Almost at the beach boys -
Beach time - the beach here was a bit crazy today - much have been a big tide as the waves were dumpers and it got deep really fast.  Initially me and the boys just mucked around in the waves and once we had had enough we headed back to sit with mum. Mum then said to Loki that if he swum out past the waves the water was calm and would be much better - Loki was super keen "thanks mum I said" - As Loki cannot go out there on his own I had go with him! Was a bit chilly, but fun..................and I managed to get back in without being smashed over by one of the waves - success!
It was then time to wander the streets to find a late lunch - perfect day!
It was then time to head toward the bus stop - now this was a bit crazy - there were about 50 people waiting for the bus, a 40 seater which already had people on it!  It was push and shove and about 25 people were left behind - not us though! We made it on the bus and home around 6.30pm.  Karl arrived home around 7pm after spending the day with his boss from NZ.
