Today we started off our day with a huge 3 hour game of monopoly! I ended up bankrupt eventually much to the kids delight. It was fun playing it in French and we only needed to use google translate three times for the ? and community chest.
We then headed off to the soccer turf. Then disaster hit - about an hour in I went for a massive save (I was the goalie) and I knew the moment the ball hit me it was a disaster - yup - they scored and I broke a nail! Even worse - the nail was flung completely off and we could not find it. Soccer is dangerous! I now have a pinkie finger with no fake nail!
Anyway, back to the soccer - we played by ourselves initially, then two other boys joined us and then after they had left another boy showed up who Lachlan had played with earlier int he week. This finally allowed me to sit out and not be goalie and ponder my nail situation more fully!
We were then off to the supermarket and more exploring of the isles trying to work out what things were. Success - home for late lunch and then research on Fort Saint Jean and off to explore around the ramparts, museum - such an amazing place and pretty much next door!
We finally got home, made a platter and waited for the worker to return home! Another great day in Marseille.
